What we collect, and what we do with it.

Short version: we collect what you type into a form, the files you upload for a policy review, and one analytics cookie if you allow it. We do not sell any of it. Last updated September 2, 2026.

Who we are

Digg Excavation Insurance (legal entity Digg Excavation Insurance [VERIFY]), a licensed Colorado insurance agency. Contact: email[VERIFY], (720) 529-0300, street[VERIFY], Castle Rock [VERIFY], CO ZIP[VERIFY].

What we collect

  • Form entries. Business name, your name, phone, email, what you do, where you operate, what prompted the contact, and anything you type in the message box. For certificate requests, the holder's name and address and the wording the contract requires.
  • Uploaded declarations pages (policy review only). PDF, JPG, or PNG files you choose to send. These contain personal and financial information about your business and your current insurance.
  • Consent records. When you check the consent box, we log the time (UTC), your IP address, browser, the page you were on, the exact consent wording shown, and the checkbox state. We keep these for at least five years because the law that governs marketing calls and texts expects us to be able to show them.
  • Technical data. Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not identify you. Google Analytics, once it is enabled, only if you click "Allow analytics" in the banner; it sets a cookie and we configure it with IP anonymization. Until then no analytics cookie is set. Cloudflare Turnstile, the spam check on the forms, processes your browser signals to tell people from bots.

Why

To call or email you back about your inquiry, to review a policy you asked us to review, to issue certificates you request, to keep the consent records the law expects, and to see which pages help contractors so we write more of those. Nothing else.

How long

  • Uploaded declarations pages: deleted after 30 days unless you become a client, in which case they become part of your client file.
  • Form entries and consent records: at least five years.
  • Analytics: per Google's retention settings, which we set to the shortest available.

Who we share with

Our email provider (to send you the confirmation and to notify Phil), our hosting and storage provider (Cloudflare, where the form handler runs and files are stored privately), and insurance carriers when you ask us to quote or place coverage. If we add a customer relationship management system later, your form entry will be stored there too. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with advertisers. We do not use any lead data in an automated scoring tool that decides who gets served.

Your choices

  • Decline analytics in the banner; the site works the same.
  • Reply STOP to any text to end texts. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, honored within ten business days and usually immediately.
  • Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it: email the agency email[VERIFY] with "privacy request" in the subject. We answer within 45 days. Colorado residents have rights under the Colorado Privacy Act; we honor those requests whether or not the Act technically applies to an agency our size.

Children

This site is for business owners. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes and the consent wording version number in our forms is bumped so old records stay tied to the wording you actually saw.
